What I can help with

Everything below is shaped around what's in your plan and what you actually want out of the week.

Getting out and about

It looks like: the beach at Halls Head, the shops, the movies, the library, an op shop crawl, a swim, an appointment, the footy, visiting family, or a coffee somewhere that isn't your kitchen.

You choose. I'll drive, I'll help with what needs helping with, and I'll read the room on how much company you want that day.

I drive, and I don't charge for travel under 100km in a shift. Past that we'll talk about it before we go, not after.

Support around the house

Cooking, cleaning, laundry, dishes, tidying, changing the bed, taking the bins out.

The point isn't that the house gets done. It's that it gets done in a way you're part of, at a pace that isn't someone else's.

Personal care

Showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and help with medication routines.

I'm trained in it, I've been doing it since 2022, and I've had the training on hygiene and infection control that goes with it.

Your routine, your order, your way. Tell me once and I'll remember.

Anything involving a lift or a transfer needs a second worker with me. That’s a safety call, and I’ll say so before we start rather than halfway through.

Daily living and errands

Shopping lists and shopping. Appointments and the getting there. Forms. Phone calls to organisations that don't want to answer the phone. Meal planning. Keeping the week from getting away from you.

Learning new things

Phones and laptops that have stopped making sense. Public transport routes. Cooking something you've never made. Job applications. TAFE enrolments. Emails to people who write in jargon.

I worked with my first client from February 2022, through a TAFE course, and into a full-time job. Not because I did it for him. Because we sat down with it every week until he could.

If there's something you want to be able to do without a support worker in the room, tell me and we'll work at it.

Working with your plan manager

Plan-managed

I invoice your plan manager directly and you don't touch the money side at all.

Self-managed

I invoice you.

Either way you get an itemised invoice with dates, hours and line items, and you can query anything on it.

Not sure which of these you need?

That's alright. Text me and we'll talk it through.
